Discover Vegan Rise
Our Philosophy
At Vegan Rise, we believe that animals are sentient beings deserving of the same moral consideration as humans. They have the right to live free from exploitation, and we see the end of all forms of animal abuse as the ultimate goal of vegan advocacy. Our philosophy is rooted in compassion, justice, and respect for all life.
We also recognize that advocacy should always serve this greater purpose, rather than personal egos or the need to ‘be right.’ When advocacy focuses more on self-validation than on helping animals, it can slow progress. That’s why we prioritize thoughtful engagement that centers on animals and their intrinsic value.

About Our Founder, "Dr. Ken, PhD"
At age 59, Ken Walker embarked on a transformative journey by enrolling in college for the first time. His passion for learning led him through a remarkable academic path, culminating in a PhD in Media Psychology (2023). Dr. Ken’s research delves into communication theory and the power of storytelling to drive social change.
His journey took an unexpected turn in December 2020 when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer that also led to kidney failure and months of intensive dialysis. Despite these harrowing challenges, Dr. Ken’s determination never faltered, and he completed his degree while fighting through immense adversity.
Facing his own mortality led Ken to better empathize with animals whose freedom and lives were being taken from them. With the cancer now in remission, he has embraced a new mission: advocating for veganism and animal rights. Inspired by a predictive insight from the powerful AI system ChatGPT, which envisions a world where veganism becomes mainstream by 2073, Dr. Ken founded Vegan Rise.
This initiative focuses on crafting impactful narratives across media to expose the realities of animal exploitation and foster a just and humane future. Through compassionate advocacy, Vegan Rise aims to engage and inspire more and more people to champion animal rights and drive the shift towards a more ethical world.
